American Idol, Top 8 Performances: Stefano Langone Proves His Worth; Scotty, Lauren and Casey Hit It Big

It's the movies night on American Idol Season 10. Some performances bill top-notch, while others just settle as supporting casts.

Today, the almost eliminated Stefano Langone returns to the Idol stage with a bang. He sings BoyzIIMen hit "End of The Road." Well, clearly, it's not the end for him. He has the key to JLo's house, his emotional performance says it all!

Once labeled "the one man phony," Scotty McCreery does his country trick once more. The 17-year old, North Carolina native sits comfortably on his stool as he sings George Strait's "Cross My Heart." It's not the song that you'd want him to sing, but whatever he does, it hits. His simplicity always captures the audience - everyone gets mesmerized.... and they want more.

Surprise! Lauren Alaina is starting to have that "it." She sings Miley Cyrus' "The Climb," with ease. She even does it better than Hanna Montana herself. Undoubtedly, her star is starting to shine on the show. Let's hope she brings something more next week. Heck! I can see her in the Top 4.

The always weird Casey Abrams does his jazz sh*t while his hands caress a big white cielo. The judges-saved contestant once again "wows" the panel, i wonder if he "wows" the audience. There's this something deep going on inside Casey, his artistry just pours out whenever he does something (imagine he choses to ignore Jimmy Ivine's song suggestion.) Find out tomorrow if America will appreciate what he does on the show today.

What about the others?

Paul McDonald's did his best, but i think he'll be in the bottom 3. Other than his fancy suit, what he sang was too kareoke for me.
Jacob Lusk sang dramatically awesome, i am not sure if he's got enough fans to put him through the eliminations tomorrow. God help him.
Haley Reinhart rocked the house. But what she has done, its quiet forgettable, i am crossing my fingers, i don't know if she's gonna be safe anymore.
James Durbin, with all that shrieking and shouting, i guarantee, he'll be spared from tomorrow's elimination.
