Lee DeWyze - Nigel Lythgoe Feud Over "Idol" Finale, Saif Ali Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Word War, Kara DioGuardi's New Docu-Series and Other News

Saif Ali Khan Denies Poking Fun at Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Saif Ali Khan's remarks about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's presence at the festival every year, with or without a film to promote, said, "Maybe because she is a pretty face" sparked a controversy.

News websites picked up Saif's remark, saying how the actor feels that Ash is just a 'pretty face'. A website even went ahead to say that an actor, however big or small would definitely feel angry on being referred as pretty but not talented.

However, Saif is shocked to hear about the misinterpretation of what he had to say about Ash. "I was asked about the relevance of Ash going to Cannes and I said she is the international face of India.

I said we should be proud about her beautiful face. One website quoted me verbatim, complimenting Ash, which is what I meant in the first place. But others have misquoted me. I would never say something like that about her." - TIMES OF INDIA

Kara DioGuardi Developing New Docu-Series for Bravo

Former "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi has teamed up with Bravo to develop a new docu-series.

The "KARA" project takes a glimpse inside the music business through the perspective of songwriter-producer DioGuardi, who also serves as head judge on the cable network's upcoming music competition series "Platinum Hit," making its debut May 30.

"'KARA' is the perfect addition to our latest development slate," said Eli Lehrer, Vice President of development for Bravo, in a statement. "People have one perception of DioGuardi, but this series will peek behind the curtain and reveal much more interesting and multi-faceted aspects of this incredibly successful, talented artist and business woman."

Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, of the Chaz Bono documentary "Becoming Chaz," along with Tom Campbell serve as executive producers, as do DioGuardi and Stephen Finfer. - REUTERS
