Typhoon Chedeng Update: PAGASA Weather Forecast as of May 25, 5am


At 4:00 am today, tropical storm "Chedeng" (Songda) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 365 km East of Catarman, Northern Samar (12.2°N, 128.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 115 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 145 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 13 kph.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) three day forecast shows that on Thursday morning, ”Chedeng” will be at 160 km East of Virac, Catanduanes. And on Friday, ”Chedeng” is estimated at 120 km Southeast of Casiguran, Aurora. While on Saturday, the tropical storm is expected to be 40 km Northeast of Aparri, Cagayan.
