Bored are we Stacey? Miss Solomon struggles to contain yawns as she ditches the bob for long and luscious locks

Bit bored? Stacey Solomon struggled to contain a yawn as she spent the day in the hairdresser getting hair extensions

Achieving the perfect hairstyle can easily take hours – just ask Stacey Solomon.

The former X Factor contestant appeared extremely bored as she spent most of her day at the hairdressers in London yesterday, having extremely long hair extensions put in.

The Dagenham-born singer struggled to contain her boredom and was seen yawning as she sat in the stylist’s chair.

But achieving long and luscious locks takes time, and man-power, and Stacey had two stylists working on her hair.

Earlier this month the mother-of-one had been seen sporting a short dark bob seen at her book signing and as she sang at the FA Cup final.

But it didn’t take long for Stacey to miss a bigger bouffant and she attended an extended appointment at The Four Salon in London getting extensions put in, leaving her with longer and lighter locks.

At least Stacey had opted for comfy clothing for her marathon hair session and she was dressed in a pair of black leather-style leggings and a sheer grey T-shirt.

But Stacey’s patience and the stylist’s expertise paid off when the singer left with a full head of shiny hair which hung down almost to her waist.

Earlier this month Stacey had displayed a drastic and dark look with thick heavy eyebrows matching her deep brown hair at her autobiography My Story So Far, book signing.

The book details her struggle to come to terms with motherhood after falling pregnant at 17 and she gives a frank account of her confusion when Zach was born.

‘I didn’t really want to hold him. I didn’t resent him, I resented myself and all I could think was that this was it, my life was over. I felt so hopeless. I didn’t want a baby.’

The book also details her struggle to combat post natal depression and has proved popular with her fans.

On Tuesday Stacey took to Twitter to thank her fans for buying the book she tweeted: ‘Woooo can't believe my books no2 in the Sunday times best sellers that's amazing thank u everyone wouldnt be able to do anything without u!x’
