Nicole Scherzinger Replaces Cheryl Cole as 'X Factor' Judge

Nicole Scherzinger, who initially signed as co-host alongside Steve Jones in FOX’s new series "The X Factor", will be seating as additional judge replacing Cheryl Cole.

The 27-year-old British entertainer, who already shoots a few rounds of auditions with judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and L.A. Reid, was suddenly removed from the show due to its accent that is too difficult for American audiences to understand according. She also didn’t have great chemistry with Paula, sources told TMZ.

From TMZ:

Huge shakeup at Simon Cowell’s new show “X-Factor” - TMZ has learned singer Cheryl Cole will no longer be a judge … and will be replaced by ex-”Pussycat Dolls” member Nicole Scherzinger.

It’s unclear why Cheryl is out - but we’re told the replacement happened very recently.

Nicole was originally supposed to co-host the show with Steve Jones when it debuts in September - but now, she’ll be sitting on the judge’s panel alongside Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and LA Reid.
