"Willing Willie" To Be Replaced by "Wil Time Bigtime" Starting May 14

Goodbye, "Willing Willie".

Hello, "Wil Time Bigtime".

Yes, Willie Revillame will return on Philippine primetime TV, not through "Willing Willie", but with a similarly formatted show titled "Wiltime Bigtime", starting May 14 as announced by Cristy Fermin this morning on TV5's daily showbiz talk show "Juicy! Express".

Binigyan tayo ng pagkakataon at oportunidad ni Willie Revillame na unang i-announce dito sa ‘Juicy Express’ na magbabalik na po siya sa [Mayo] katorse… Sabado ‘yan,” declared Cristy.

Contrary to rumors that Willie’s new show will be transferred to the noontime slot competing against GMA-7's "Eat! Bulaga" and ABS-CBN's "Happy, Yipee, Yehey!", "Wiltime Bigtime" will have the same time slot as “Willing Willie” - Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and weeknights at 6:30 p.m.

Like what the title implies, the new show is expected to deliver big time surprises and prizes "dahil big time po kayo sa puso ni Willie Revillame."

Wiltime Bigtime - Teaser:

TV5 Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan announced earlier that TV5 management already considered May 14 as the comeback date for Willie's show.

TV5 decided to temporarily suspend airing of "Willing Willie" starting April 11 in relation to the Jan-Jan Suan incident (incidentally, the segment where Jan-Jan controversy begins was also titled "Wiltime Bigtime").

After its investigation, the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) also decided to suspend the show for one month and put the same under probation. Meaning when it goes on-air, the show is required to secure a permit for each episode. It is also reported that the same rule will apply to any show that will replace "Willing Willie". In this case, "Wiltime Bigtime" should seek a daily permit beginning its pilot airing on May 14.
