Ang Kick-Ass Balisong ni Hit Girl

  

I got a kick from watching Chloe Grace Moretz aka Hit Girl.  Ala-eh kagaleng bumirada ng kanyang new Balisong.  Regalo ng tatay niyang kalbo este ni Nicolas Cage.  Parang tunay na batangueña baga. O kabayan nood na!

Balisong, otherwise known as a butterfly knife or fan knife, is a folding pocket knife with two handles counter-rotating around the tang such that, when closed, the blade is concealed within grooves in the handles.  It is sometimes called a Batangas  knife.  In the hands of a trained user, the knife blade can be brought to bear quickly using one hand.  Manipulations, called "flipping", are performed for art or amusement.
      
The Balisong is commonly used by Filipino people as a pocket utility knife. It is so popular in the Philippines that an urban legend exists about every Batangueño carrying it everywhere he goes. [wiki]

Pinoy sa Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

John Robert "J. R." Celski (born July 17, 1990) is an Filipino-American short track speed skater. He won the bronze medal in the men's 1500 meters race at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Celski has also won 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 bronze medals at the World ChampionshipsHe won the overall title at the U.S. Junior Championships twice (2007, 2008) and was the overall silver medalist at the 2008 U.S. National Championships.

J. R. Celski was born in Monterey, California where his father was serving in the U.S. Army. He was raised in Federal Way, Washington. His father, Robert, is of Polish descent and his mother, Sue, is of Filipino descent. Celski has two older brothers, Chris and David. [wiki]



Amanda Evora (born November 17, 1984) is an American pair skater. She competes with Mark Ladwig. They are the 2010 U.S. silver medalists and the 2007 & 2009 U.S. pewter medalists. At the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, they were chosen to represent the United States at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where they finished 10th.

Evora was born in New York, New York. Her family moved to Houston in 1995. Before that, they had lived in Bahrain, Dallas, and Virginia. She is Filipino-American. Evora's longtime boyfriend is pairs skater Jeremy Barrett. [wiki]

Paulding Kulane is the only Pinoy athlete representing Liliw, Laguna. Champion sa extreme labada, kulada at expert din po sa palo-palo. Dahil walang kalaban, nanalo siya ng gold medal sa extreme plantsahan.

Weather-Weather Lang Yan

Malapit na ang 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics pero nagmumukmuk si Muk Muk dahil kapos sa snow ang Vancouver. Humakot pa sila ng truck-truck na snow. Samantalang biggest snowstorm naman ang bumagsak sa barangay ni Obama dito sa right coast ng US of A. Mudslides naman ang nag-slide sa LA, left coast. Dito po sa amin, sa may itaas ng right coast eh dusting lang ang inabot. Anobayan bayan! Nawindang na ang panahon ng weather. Pati na itong si Jim Kosek ng accuweather.com eh nagsa Mike Enriquez na!

Bukas (Enero 6) sa Maynila is Three Kings Day, or Dia de los Tres Reyes, ang pagtatapos ng Christmas season ng mga pinoy. Nagsimula ito ng pumasok ang buwan ng bre. It is also time to take down our Christmas decorations pwera yung kabitbahay kong forever na nakasabit ang christmas lights nila. Happy birthday din sa lahat ng Melchor, Melchora, Gaspar at Baltazar na pinangalanan mula sa tatlong haring mago. Happy Three Kings Day!
