The 100 Greatest Monsters From Movies And Television #91 - #100
100. GIANT RABBITS
Night of the Lepus, also known as Rabbits, is a 1972 American science fiction horror film based on the 1964 science fiction novel The Year of the Angry Rabbit. Released theatrically on October 4, 1972, it focuses on a group of people in a small Arizona town battling thousands of mutated, carnivorous killer rabbits. The film was the first science fiction work for both producer A.C. Lyles and director William F. Claxton, who both came from Western film backgrounds. Various character actors from Westerns the pair had worked on were brought in to star in the film, including Stuart Whitman, Janet Leigh, Rory Calhoun, and DeForest Kelley. Shot in Arizona, Night of the Lepus used domestic rabbits filmed against miniature models and actors dressed in rabbit costumes for the various attack scenes.
Before its release, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) renamed the film from its original name of Rabbits, and avoided including rabbits in most promotional materials to try to keep the mutant creatures being featured a secret. However, the studio itself broke the secret by releasing rabbit foot themed promotional materials before the release. Widely panned by critics for its premise, bad directing, stilted acting, and laughable special effects, the film's biggest failure was considered to be the inability to make the rabbits seem scary. The film has gained cult status for its badness, and was released to home video for the first time in October 2005 when it was released to Region 1 DVD. (From Wikipedia)

99. THE GIANT CLAW
The Giant Claw is a 1957 sci-fi film about a giant bird that terrorizes the world. Produced by Clover Productions under the working title 'Mark of the Claw' and released through Columbia Pictures, it starred Jeff Morrow and Mara Corday, and was directed by Fred F. Sears. The film has been a staple of the bootleg video market with only two official VHS releases (one in the USA through Goodtimes Home Video and the other through Screamtime in the United Kingdom) to date. Columbia Pictures finally released the film officially to DVD in October 2007 as part of the two disc four film set Icons of Horror Collection.
Mitch MacAfee (Jeff Morrow), while engaged in a radar test flight, spots an unidentified flying object. Jets are scrambled to pursue and identify the object but one goes missing. Officials are initially angry at MacAfee but are forced to take his story seriously after several other planes disappear. A gigantic bird, purported to come from an antimatter galaxy (and then later from the year seventeen million B.C.), is responsible for all the incidents. Mitch, along with his mathematician girlfriend Sally Caldwell (Mara Corday), Dr. Karol Noymann (Edgar Barrier), and generals Considine (Morris Ankrum) and Van Buskirk (Robert Shayne), works feverishly to develop a way to defeat the seemingly invincible enemy. The climactic showdown takes place in New York City, with the bird attacking both the Empire State and United Nations buildings. (From Wikipedia)

Reptilicus, a giant monster film about a fictional prehistoric reptile, is a Danish-American co-production, produced by American International Pictures and Saga Studios, and is upon close examination two distinctly different films helmed by two different directors.
The original version, which was shot in Danish was directed by Danish director Poul Bang and released in Denmark on February 25, 1961.
The American version, which was in English with a nearly identical cast, was directed by the film's American producer-director Sidney W. Pink; this version was initially deemed virtually unreleasable by American International Pictures and had to be extensively reworked by the film's Danish-American screenwriter, Ib Melchior, before being finally released in America in 1962.
Resembling a giant dragon-like serpent with webbed wings, Reptilicus, with near-impenetrable armor-plated skin, had the ability to regenerate itself from any segment as well as fly (a feature obscured in the US version, when AIP removed the flying scene). In the US version, an effect was added (albeit randomly and clumsily) where Reptilicus shot a neon-green acid slime from his mouth. (From Wikipedia)
97. GAPPA
Daikyojū Gappa (大巨獣ガッパ?, "Giant Beast Gappa") is a 1967 tokusatsu kaiju film. The film was produced by Nikkatsu Corporation, and was their only film in the giant monster genre. The international English title for the film was Gappa the Triphibian Monster. The international English print was reedited and retitled Monster from a Prehistoric Planet, for its original release in the United States.
An expedition from Tokyo heads to Obelisk Island, which a greedy entrepreneur (Mr. Funazu, the President of Playmate Magazine) wants to turn into an island resort. The natives of Obelisk welcome the expedition, but when two members, Hiroshi and Itoko, venture into the forbidden part of the land, they skeptically venture ahead, despite the pleas of a native boy named Saki. They enter a cavern (which was blocked by a statue that had collapsed) and find a giant egg, out of which hatches a baby monster, a "bird-lizard", referred to as a "Gappa" by the natives, who plea with the scientists not to take the baby away, lest they anger the baby's parents, to which the scientists react with skepticism. Sure enough, they take the baby away, and soon, inside the caverns, its two larger parents rise from the underground waters! They rise from beneath the island volcano, destroying everything in their path, with Saki being the only survivor left on the island (rescued by an American navy fleet and brought back to Japan).
Meanwhile, back in Japan, the baby "bird-lizard" monster makes world headlines, not to mention being experimented on by scientists. But to the shock of the expedition members, they hear news of two giant flying creatures appearing over Sagami Bay. The Gappa parents ravage cities looking for their offspring, and are impervious to military weapons. Hiroshi, Itoko and Professor Tonooka (a scientist from the expedition) have figured that the "Gappas" aren't a legend after all. They, and Saki, try to plead to the headstrong Mr. Funazu to let go of the baby and return it to its parents. Will they convince him before the Gappas destroy Japan and perhaps the world? 96. KONGA
Konga is a 1961 British science fiction film directed by John Lemont and starring Michael Gough, Margo Johns and Austin Trevor.
British botanist Charles Decker goes insane after he discovers a serum that turns his cuddly chimpanzee subject Konga into a ferocious gorilla-sized ape. To further his hideous experiments, Decker mesmerizes the chimp and sends it to London to kill all his former enemies, including the lover of the woman the doctor wants for himself. This doesn't set well with Margaret, the botanist's assistant and current girlfriend, who attempts to get even by giving Konga an enormous amount of the strange serum and turns him into a Godzilla-sized monster, though she becomes his first victim. Just before going on a deadly rampage, the super-sized ape grabs Decker in one of his enormous hands. His rampage comes to a stop when he and Decker are killed by the British army. Upon his death, he reverts back to a chimpanzee. (From Wikipedia)
95. GREEN SLIME
The Green Slime (ガンマー第3号 宇宙大作戦, Ganmā Daisan Gō: Uchū Daisakusen?, aka Gamma 3: Operation Outer Space) is a 1968 science-fiction film produced by MGM in the United States and shot in Japan at the studios of Toei Company by director Kinji Fukasaku. The film was spearheaded by the same creative team who produced similar Italian outings including Wild, Wild Planet, Ivan Reiner and Walter Manley.
A group of astronauts set out to stop a giant asteroid on a collision course with the planet Earth. They land on the asteroid, plant explosive charges and destroy it. Afterwards they return to the staging area, a space station called Gamma 3 in orbit around the Earth. Unfortunately, a scientist from the mission has unwittingly carried a luminous-green substance on the leg of his spacesuit which quickly mutates into one-eyed, tentacled monsters with the ability to discharge lethal bolts of electricity. The Gamma 3 crew fend off the alien creatures with their laser-based weaponry, only to discover the creatures feed off the energy which, in turn, allows them to multiply rapidly, sprouting the new creatures from their blood. As the creatures overrun the station the crew continues to fight back against overwhelming odds. (From Wikipedia)
94. GIANT LEECHES
Attack of the Giant Leeches is a low-budget 1959 science fiction film from American International Pictures. It was directed by Bernard L. Kowalski, produced by Gene Corman, and the screenplay was written by Leo Gordon. The film is in black and white, and runs for 62 minutes. It was one of a spate of monster movies produced during the 1950s in response to cold war fears; in the film a character speculates that the leeches have been mutated to giant size by atomic radiation from nearby Cape Canaveral.
In the Florida Everglades, a pair of larger-than-human, intelligent leeches are living in an underwater cave. They begin dragging local people down to their cave where they hold them prisoner and slowly drain them of blood.
One of the first people to be so taken is the local vixen, Liz Walker, played by Yvette Vickers. After a couple of gratuitous displays of flesh (Yvette appeared as the centerfold in the July 1959 issue of Playboy), and some running around on her husband (Bruno VeSota), Liz finds herself a prisoner of the leeches along with her current paramour. Game warden Steve Benton (Ken Clark) sets out to investigate their disappearance. Aided by his girlfriend Nan Grayson (Jan Sheppard) and her father, Doc Grayson, he discovers the cavern.
The giant leeches are unrealistically portrayed by men in rubber suits, but they do provide suitably disgusting scenes when attacking their victims. The monsters are finally destroyed when Steve, Doc, and some state troopers blow up the cavern with dynamite. (From Wikipedia)
93. RAIGA
The second theatrical film directed by Shinpei Hayashiya, a rakugo master (comic storyteller). Raiga, the evolved version of the deep-sea aquatic dinosaur “Reigo” from his first film Deep Sea Monster Reigo, runs rampant in the town of Asakusa! …
It has been over six decades since the battle of Deep Sea Monster Reigo and Battleship Yamato. As global warming worsens, throwing the ecosystem off balance, a disaster approaches Japan. A mysterious, massive creature emerges from the nearby ocean and a fishing boat encounters an ominous deep-sea creature in Tokyo Bay. Then a giant monster “Raiga” lands in Asakusa, Tokyo! The Taito Guard is called out at the request of the government, and a cut-throat battle beyond all imagination begins…
92. MOORWEN
Outlander is a 2008 science fiction film directed by Howard McCain and starring James Caviezel. Caviezel has described Outlander to be a light combination of Braveheart and Highlander.
Outlander begins when a spacecraft tears through the atmosphere and streaks across the sky, crashing into a Norwegian lake in 709AD. From the wreckage emerges Kainan, a soldier from a faraway planet, and a deadly alien stowaway called a Moorwen. Before he has a chance to track down the alien Kainan, the Outlander, is captured by a Viking warrior and held prisoner in the local village led by King Rothgar. Gradually, as the Vikings come round to accepting his story about "hunting a Dragon", he is accepted into their society. Flashbacks reveal his history where man and monster both seek revenge for violence committed against them.
As the Moorwen "Dragon" ravages the Viking lands, killing everything in its path, Kainan forms an alliance with the primitive but fierce warriors. The Moorwen devastates the rival village, triggering war with its surviving warriors led by King Gunnar, who assaults Kainan's village. However, Gunnar's forces are repulsed, and as the enemy Vikings retreat into the forest, the Moorwen strikes leaving the Vikings no choice but to run back for refuge to their former foes. Together, the two sides attempt to destroy the Moorwen and its newly spawned off-spring. The village takes massive casualties, including both of the tribal kings. With the warriors demoralised, most of the Vikings leave the village in search of a new home and safety.
Kainan, his friends, and the King's feisty daughter Freya, stand together to destroy the Moorwen. Kainan assists the Vikings by salvaging pieces of his crashed spacecraft and forging weapons capable of harming the creature. After a harrowing journey, the Vikings and Kainan confront the Moorwen in caves under the village where the alien monsters are finally defeated. Only Kainan and Freya survives. As the movie ends, Kainan destroys a homing beacon triggered when his ship crash-landed, deciding to remain on Earth rather than return to his home in the stars. He marries Freya and becomes the new King of the tribe. (From Wikipedia)
91. THE 50 FOOT WOMAN
Attack of the 50 Foot Woman is a 1958 American science fiction feature film produced by Bernard Woolner for Allied Artists Pictures. It was directed by Nathan H. Juran (credited as Nathan Hertz) from a screenplay by Mark Hanna, and starred Allison Hayes, William Hudson and Yvette Vickers. The original music score was composed by Ronald Stein. The film was a take on other movies that had also featured size-changing humans, namely The Amazing Colossal Man and The Incredible Shrinking Man, but substituting a woman as the protagonist.
The story concerns the plight of Nancy Archer, a wealthy heiress whose close encounter with an enormous alien being causes her to grow into a giantess. She uses her new size and power to seek revenge against her philandering husband Harry and his mistress, Honey Parker.
A TV Announcer (Dale Tate) tells of people around the globe spotting a floating red ball. Nancy Archer (Allison Hayes) is a wealthy but highly troubled woman. She's speeding along the desert roads at night, fleeing her problems. A glowing ball settles on the highway in front of her. A giant reaches for her, but she runs back to town. No one believes in her story because of her drinking problem and having been institutionalized before. Her shifty husband (William Hudson) is more interested in his floozy (Yvette Vickers). Nonetheless, he pretends to be the good husband in hopes that Nancy will 'snap' and return to the 'booby hatch'. She convinces him to search the desert with her, looking for the "satellite". Eventually, they find it, and as the giant emerges Harry flees, leaving Nancy behind. Later, Nancy is found on the roof of her pool house. She's sedated by her doctor. Harry thinks to give her a lethal injection of sedative, but when he goes up to her room, he finds she's grown into a giant. The sheriff and Nancy's Butler find and explore the alien's spherical ship. Seems the giant alien needs diamonds, perhaps fuel. The giant alien interrupts, wrecking their car, so they walk back. Nancy awakens and breaks free. Determined to find her wayward husband, she breaks through the roof of her house, and stomps off to town. In town, she takes the roof off the bar. A beam falls on the floozy, killing her. Nancy picks up Harry and walks away, The sheriff shoots at her to no apparent effect, but accidentally hits a power line transformer. It blows up near Nancy and kills her, with Harry lying crushed in her hand. (From Wikipedia)

The Invincible Jacket?
Meta-material becomes a material that everybody talks about. This material can makes people invincible. An outfit that is using this kind of material can makes the person that is using it "disappear", yes, it's pretty much like Harry Potter's cloak.
A fighter jet can be made invincible with this meta-material. Not only stealth in radar, but literary invincible like the cloaking device in Star Trek.
This is made by creating an artificial material that can refracts electromagnetic radiation, the same thing goes to lights which has the electromagnetic radiation as the basic. The substance are usually tin and plastic in some quantify pattern.
Meta-material will refract lights, surrounds the object and converge at the end. It's much more like a river that surrounds a stone. In the last research at Perdue University, they're using some needles that refract the light over the object so it'll reflect the object behind it.

Amy Bruni is a good example of what happens when a hobby, turns into a passion, which in turn becomes a way of life. Like many in the paranormal field, Amy Bruni grew up in a haunted house. Since then, Jason and Grant have recruited Amy Bruni to be part of the TAPS home team on the East Coast and now she travels with the show as a core team member.
Most recently, Amy Bruni has been using her connections in the field to conduct important research on the nature of group dynamics in the paranormal, and she's also begun lecturing on ghosts and the supernatural.

97. BIANCA BARNETT
Actress and model Bianca Barnett was born Bianca Evans on the 26 August 1981 in Garland, Texas. During her childhood her parents owned a successful model kit company, Lunar Models, through which she first developed an interest in fantasy, science fiction and horror. Her thirst for film making was also fueled by her father’s video camera, with which Bianca would create and star in her own no-budget amateur movies. This led to an interest in cinema, which prompted the wannabe director to enroll in college but, after realizing that her true passion was in front of the camera, dropped out of film school and moved to Los Angeles. After various modeling opportunities came along, Bianca started her first website, ‘The Perils of Rock and Roll Decadence,’ which quickly gathered a cult following, along with her second site, ‘Bianca’s Boudoir,’ which demonstrated her love with the 1920′s.
Her first acting work came from several collaborations with Silent Ghost Cinema, which resulted in various bizarre short films with fellow struggling actress Ophidia Blackwood, including ‘The Broken Doll Meets Sad Sue’ and ‘The Devil is Always Good for a Drink.’ This led to appearances in various music videos, most notably The Rocketz’s raunchy promo ‘Killing,’ in which Bianca would be credited as a ‘Vampy Burlesque Girl. Bianca’s transition into feature films came from a meeting with independent filmmaker and fellow Texas native, Ramzi Abed, who cast her in the small but crucial role of a corpse in his Black Dahlia feature ‘The Devil’s Muse’. This film not only changed her professional life, but was a pivotal point in her personal life and put her off her path of personal self-destruction.
It was during the making of this movie that the young actress would meet FX artist Jason Barnett , who would not only become her partner but also collaborator on various projects, most notably ‘Albino Farm,’ a creature feature that saw Bianca portray the main antagonist, Pig Bitch. The role required extensive use of prosthetics, something that Bianca had grown accustomed to from her previous work in horror films. She would once again team up with Abed for another movie, ‘In a Spiral State’ portraying the drug addled model, Marlena, as well as a small role in Kevin Carraway’s ‘Fear Chamber’. Bianca and Jason Barnett would once again collaborate on the short film ‘Bunny Time Cupcakes’ for Chiller TV’s ‘Dare 2 Direct 2′ competition, which saw the actress in the dual roles of the curious Lulu and the evil Demon.
Bianca Barnett has several projects in the works, including ‘Terror 66′ (directed by Bobby Blood, drummer of metal band, MERAUDER), ‘Amphibimortis’ (another Barnett & Barnett collaboration, with Jason once again behind the camera) and ‘Blood de Madam: The Fallen Ones,’ which sees legendary horror director Herschell Gordon Lewis (‘Blood Feast’) once again terrifying audiences, which will co-star such scream queens as Felissa (‘Sleepaway Camp’) Rose and Troma regular Debbie Rochon. 94. SHANNON MCDONOUGH
Shannon McDonough began her performance career by taking ballet and tap dance classes from Barbi Lee School of Dance when she was practically still in diapers. Her first role was as a mouse in the annual production of The Nutcracker eventually working her way up to Fritz and, finally, the Mouse King. She got into musical theatre as a freshman in high school and that was, as they say, when she was bitten by the acting bug. She quickly got into plays and theatre classes and, although she was terrible at first (truly terrible), there was no stopping her. High school theatre then turned into community theatre which is where she gained a majority of her experience. Some of her favorite roles include: Corie Bratter (Barefoot in the Park), Mollie Ralston (The Mousetrap), Jacqueline de Severac (Murder on the Nile) and Elvira (Blithe Spirit).
Shannon branched into film during her community theatre days, starting with short student films and finally landing her first role in a feature length film: Julie Ann St. Marie-Jackson in Christopher Mihm's It Came From Another World!, reprising the role recently for a cameo in Mihm's latest creation: Terror From Beneath the Earth. It was a perfect fit since melodrama is one of her favorite genres and she loves the style of the '50's, it was an incredibly fun project to be a part of. Look for it on Netflicks. After It Came From Another World! she was booked for Ric McCloud's Unholy Reunion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYVYrM1v--Y), a horror film which was incredibly bloody and sticky. While working on Unholy, Shannon met Jarrod Crooks, who played her fiance in the film. They decided to team up and create the most kick ass independent action film that would really get people to take notice. And that film would be the currently in production Thieves Like Us, premiering August 22nd in Wausau, WI. The date of the Minneapolis premiere is still TBA. View the trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1546QZhzVs0.
Shannon has done several commercials as well, including Buffalo Wild Wings and the 2006 1st Place Grainbelt Beer commercial (Wingman's MVP). She also currently performs as a back-up singer and dancer for the band Ovation: A Salute to the Music of Prince. (Bio By Shannon McDonough)

93. SARAH BROCK
Sarah Virginia Brock began acting at the age of 16 when she auditioned for the old school Nickelodeon TV show, ALL THAT. She got a call back and after that, she starting going on more auditions. At the age of 19, she finally got something, a role as an extra in the indie film, LOUNGE ACT. Hey, it's a start!
Later that year, Sarah got the lead female role in the indie film PRETTY VACANTS. During filming, Sarah was involved in a scene where they used real knives and she was stabbed in the leg and had to get three stitches. No worries, they paid for the medical bills and she went back to work on the film the next week!
Sarah has been doing movies ever since then. In fact, just last year, Sarah branched out and started doing modeling. She's now featured on several different websites and a calendar!
On January 31st, Sarah married the love of her life, Sean DeArmond. They hope to have a daughter in a few years.
Sarah is not only acting in films and modeling, but she's also doing horror reviews with Sean on horrornews.net!
Sarah was just featured in the documentary WELCOME TO MY DARKSIDE! WOMEN IN HORROR DOCUMENTARY and in the book QUEENS OF SCREAM: THE NEW BLOOD. She's been gaining status as a scream queen and hopes to keep doing films, modeling, and horror reviews as well as branching out into other areas in the entertainment industry as well as serving her Lord and Savior through her acting!
92. EMMA WATSON
Emma Watson has starred as Hermione Granger, loyal friend to both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, in each of the Harry Potter films, most recently including "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." She will again star as Hermione in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the two-part film adaptation of the seventh and final Harry Potter book.
Apart from her work in the Harry Potter films, Watson was heard as the voice of Princess Pea in the 2008 animated adventure "The Tale of Despereaux." She also starred opposite Victoria Wood, Richard Griffiths and Emilia Fox in the role of Pauline Fossil in the BBC's television drama "Ballet Shoes".
Watson made her professional acting debut in the first Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," winning a Young Artist Award for Best Leading Young Actress for her performance. She subsequently won two consecutive AOL Awards for Best Supporting Actress, the first for "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" and another for "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."
Watson has also garnered two Critics' Choice Award nominations from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for her work in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." In addition, the readers of Total Film magazine voted her Best New Performer for her role in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban." In addition, Empire, the U.K.'s leading film magazine, honored Watson and her co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of their work in the Harry Potter films. (Bio From Warner Bros)
91. SHANNON LARK
Shannon Lark is a writer, director, producer, dancer, and actress. She is the director/founder of the Viscera Film Festival, CEO of The ChainSaw Mafia, and held the 2009 Spooksmodel crown for Fangoria Entertainment.
Lark surrounds her entire being to encompass the genre and relentlessly works to bring more women into the bloodbath. She believes in equal opportunity killing, equal opportunity film making, and the idea that creating art is what saves the world from destroying itself. (Bio From The Chainsaw Maffia)

The Klingon Opera "u" Set To Premiere Here On Earth
Written By: Ken Hulsey
Sources: Wired / Official "u'' Website
You just knew that this was going to happen, someone has composed a 'Klingon' opera.
I'm certain that there are many of you out there that believe that some people just take this whole "Star Trek" thing just way too far, and if you are one of them, then this story should just make you shake your head.
If you are one of us, and by "us" I mean people who love "Star Trek", and believe that you can never have too much of it, then this should put a smile on your face.
Indeed, a group of composers in the Netherlands, lead by Floris Schönfeld, Eef van Breen and Xavier van Wersch, are about to put on the first 'true' Klingon opera, complete with traditional instruments (never before seen here on Earth), costumes and songs.
The show is simply titled "u", which stands for 'universe' and, of course, the entire performance will be in Klingonese, so it may be kinda hard for us Earthers to understand.
To ensure that there would be no errors, and to ensure that the opera would be 100% Klingon, the production team enlisted the help of Mark Orkrand, an American linguist who created the Klingon language for the "Star Trek" television series.
Now, the one important question that is probably on every ones mind is, "who would want to see a Klingon opera?" Well, beyond hard-core Trek fans that is.
The answer is simple, actual Klingons.
Okay, I know that you are really confused know, and here is where this story really gets a but nutty, but the producers of "u" believe that they have located the exact location in space for Qo’noS (Kronos), the Klingon home world and and broke into an abandoned telescope station and transmitted an invite for any Klingons to drop in and check out the show.
Here is the scoop from the 'u' website:
The Klingon are known as passionate opera-lovers.
However very little is known about their highly evolved form of musical expression here on earth.
Floris Schönfeld has managed to lay his hands on some fragments of a masterpiece of the batlh jachlut or Honorable Battle opera.
Its title is ‘u’, which can be translated as ‘universe’ or ‘universal’. It will be the basis for the opera ‘u’, the first complete, authentic Klingon opera here on earth.
Klingon opera uses the principle of musical combat. Beauty in Klingon music comes from the impact of two opposing forces. To quote a well known Klingon proverb qa’ wIje ‘meH masuv or ‘We fight to enrich the spirit.’ The Klingon orchestra is made up of various indigenous Klingon instruments, some that have never been heard on earth before. The Terran Klingon Research Ensemble has been set up further develop a coherent Klingon musical practice amongst human musicians.
The libretto of ‘u’ is based on the epos of Kahless the unforgettable. Betrayed by his brother and witness to his father’s brutal slaying, Kahless is pitted against his bitter enemy the mighty tyrant Molor. To regain his honor he must travel into the underworld, create the first Bat’leth, be united with his true love the lady Lukara and fight many epic battles. Through this awe inspiring adventure Kahless redefines what it is to be truly Klingon. With the help of Marc Okrand, the worlds leading Klingon language expert, we have managed to piece together the stories in their original epic-poetic form for the first time.
The project ‘u’ has been running for about two years now. In this time the KTRE and Floris Schönfeld have given numerous performances and lecture in The Hague, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, as well as being invited to the artist-in-residence program of Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center in New York. The premiere of the opera is planned for September this year on the location of the Celestial Vault, a land art piece by James Turrell in Kijkduin.
Here are the dates and venues for 'u':

Klingon opera may be new thing here on Earth, but Klingon heavy metal has been around for some time, thanks to the Portland, Oregon based band Stovokor, who also perform their songs in Klingonese as well.
So far, there has been no response from Qo’noS, so it can be safe to assume that no actual Klingons will be attending 'u' this time around, or checking out any Stovokor shows in the near future either.
I think that the producers of the show kinda forgot that it takes years for sounds to travel through space.
So don't be surprised if sometime in the future a bunch of Klingons show up in tuxes expecting to see an opera, then get really angry when they learn that they missed it by a few hundred years, and start kicking the crap out of people.

NT's latest UFO sighting at the Doo
NTNews.com.au
A SOUTHERN UFO-logist has finally seen his first UFO after 30 years of searching - and he had to come to the Northern Territory for the "ominous" experience.
Erik Black has been interested in UFOs since he was a child, but the 49-year-old from Brisbane had only heard stories, read books and watched movies about Unidentified Flying Objects in the sky, without ever getting to see "a real one" himself - until 2010 election night.
"I have been researching UFOs for almost all my life and every time I came to the Territory for holidays I read a UFO story in the newspaper, so I thought the NT was the place to be.
"I got in touch with UFO-spotter Alan Ferguson and he gave me a few places to go and have a look."

Speaker to Reveal Mainstream Media Suppression of Only Proven UFO Contactee
PR Web (press release)
With the sudden surge of interest in UFOs, are the government and media deliberately suppressing the one case that would blow the cover-up wide open? Michael Horn], the U.S. spokesman for Swiss UFO contactee, Billy Meier, will present supporting evidence for that theory in two upcoming public appearances.
According to Horn, the whole UFO topic has been turned into little more than entertainment with the media comfortably promoting only anecdotal and inconclusive evidence. "The fact is that while there has been some actual extraterrestrial UFO activity in the past, most sightings are either secret military craft or explained by natural causes. The clear exception, the Meier case, has been the one cause of concern for the CIA and other intelligence agencies for over 35 years. The 21 documented assassination attempts on Meier's life show that someone's been taking it very seriously."
Horn thinks that the governmental powers that be are glad to see people chase what he calls "lights in the sky" but want to make sure that Meier's documented, advance knowledge of hundreds of important scientific discoveries, from black holes, dark matter, water on Mars, to the deadly threat of the Apophis asteroid, don't get their attention.
When asked why they would want to cover up such ironclad evidence, Horn said, "They believe that Meier's proof of still ongoing extraterrestrial contact would overturn our religions, even stop wars and reinforce the oneness of, and need for peace between, all peoples on Earth. They also fear that it would destabilize society to admit that advanced, space traveling human beings operate freely without any terrestrial control. But the Plejaren extraterrestrials emphasize that we, the people of Earth, are the biggest enemies to our own future survival...and they're trying to help us to avoid self-destruction."
Horn feels that those who could have made a real difference failed to do so. "There's no shortage of so-called 'UFO experts', authors and others who've jumped on the UFO bandwagon despite not having any real extraterrestrial related evidence. And they avoid the Meier case for one simple reason - they can't make a profit from it. So they don't mention Meier's contacts in their media appearances, preventing people from benefiting from the information. Those who are most vocal about 'ending the UFO cover-up' are, ironically, most actively perpetuating it because, like the media, they see Meier as...bad for business."
Horn - who says he has personal proof the ET contacts are authentic - claims there's another reason why the Meier case is strictly off limits. "The media and the powers that be know that if people realize just how badly they've been lied to about things like the coming worldwide consequences of the BP Gulf disaster, the anger and frustration could really boil over.
"But they've overlooked one important thing. The internet revolution cannot be undone and now each person who comes upon the Meier information can 'publish', text and tweet it freely and wake up countless others. Initially it's a slow process but it will ultimately overwhelm the media suppression and, in time, the truth will prevail."
Michael Horn will be appearing at the:

Author appeals for witnesses to 1976 Cutteslowe UFO
Banbury Cake
AN AUTHOR of a book about UFOs has made an appeal for witnesses to a sighting over an Oxford school nearly 40 years ago.
According to a former pupil at Cutteslowe Primary School, a mystery object was spotted over the playing field during one lunchtime in the summer of 1976.
The woman, who now lives in Swindon, was six-years-old at the time of the incident, and although she does not wish to be identified, she is hoping other pupils will come forward to back her story from that day.
John Hanson, a retired CID Officer with West Midlands Police, has just written his first book on UFOs called Haunted Skies Volume 1 and was contacted by the woman named Zoe who is now in her 40s.
The 64-year-old based in the Midlands said: “A lot of people who sight UFOs don’t want to be identified because of fear of ridicule.

Are UFOs real? Maybe, says historian
Catskill Daily Mail
We may not be able to identify unidentified flying objects, but that doesn’t mean they’re not real. That was the gist of a talk by historian John Horner Saturday at Kinderhook Memorial Library.
“I believe they’re real,” he said. “There’s a strong body of evidence. I don’t buy the extraterrestrial hypothesis. I believe they are as yet unknown phenomena.”
Horner led an overflowing audience through the history of sightings in the U.S., beginning with the first major sighting in 1896 in San Francisco. Since there were no airplanes at that time, the Sacramento Bee used nautical or railroad terms to describe it, like “air brakes,” “boat-shaped hull” or “steam-powered,” referring to the most technologically sophisticated vehicles of the day.
Reports of early sightings often described the occupant of the vessel as a “lone inventor,” a description that reflects figures like Eli Whitney, Robert Fulton and Thomas Edison. “It was believable to the people at the time,” Horner said. “We have a strong belief in technology and industry. The fact that it occurred in the U.S. made it more believable.”

Dying soldier admits seeing ET from Roswell UFO crash
Allnewsweb.com
Ex-Soldier Paul Epley, of North Carolina, is 80 years old, fighting cancer and wants to get a few things off his conscience.
One of the things he wants to come clean about is that he saw a live alien that survived the UFO crash in Roswell while he was serving his country.
In the summer of 1950, Paul was in the U.S. Army and stationed at Camp Wallace on the James River in Virginia. One day, for reasons he no longer remembers, he travelled to Camp Perry near Williamsburg, Virginia. While there, he recognized an MP guarding a bunker as they had served abroad together.
“I went down and asked him what he was guarding,” says Paul, “and he said I can’t show you. So I kept talking to him and he said, ‘All right, I’ll give you a brief look at it.’ So he opened the door.” The door was opened and just 15 to 20 feet from him was an ET standing in a small cage with a base that was only three to four feet square. The ET was about 4 ½ feet tall and only wearing briefs.

The Phoenix Lights Phenomenon- in Yuma?
Salem-News.Com
An award winning documentary, 'Phoenix Lights' examines the mid to late 1990's sightings of mysterious lights that thousands of witnesses reported passing over Phoenix, Arizona.
At one point the lights were 'hovering' in place near this desert city's Sky Harbor Airport. Air traffic controllers confirmed seeing them, though the lights failed to show up on radar.
They were witnessed by so many people, that it is virtually impossible that something wasn't in the sky, but what was it and what was their reason for being here?
The reason I am writing this, is because I believe this phenomena also visited the Yuma, Arizona area, and a point in between Yuma and Phoenix.
I recall two distinct, very similar sightings of lights, that were spotted once near Gila Bend, Arizona, by my wife Bonnie King and myself.

ASPE Symposium September 9 - 12, 2010
Los Angeles Conscious Life Expo October 15 - 17, 2010

Examiner.com
A St. Clair Shores, Michigan woman's 1979 encounter with "odd flashing lights" and small beings on the ground is recalled by her son in an August 28, 2010, report, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
The woman was walking her dog as usual near a local ball field, but soon watched "odd lights all different colors flashing on the ground."
The woman then saw what at first appeared to be small children, but they did not look like "normal kids," and instead spoke to her telepathically.
St. Clair Shores is in Macomb County, Michigan, part of the metro Detroit area, population today is approximately 63,096
