venereal disease


There’s a great opportunity for the everyone to learn about Venereal Disease that is ‘STD’ or ‘sexually transmitted disease. The 16th International Conference on Venereal Diseases and AIDS is scheduled to be hosted by Ethiopia for the year 2010. The news was released in a statement by Government Communication Affairs Office on Wednesday.

The African Association for HIV/AIDS has selected Ethiopia to host the aforementioned conference since the country has already shown commitment with regards to fight against the cruel most disease known as HIV/AIDS, further elaborated in the official statement. No tentative dates for the conference, however, confirmed yet.

With regards to Ethiopia’s being selected as the host country, it was further evident from the statement that this particular region has already successfully held many international conferences thus fully capable of handling the matters yet again, being an experienced host.

Directorate also seemed pretty satisfied with reference to the availability of essential characteristics such as media outlets, peace and stability and a suitable and convenient atmosphere. Thus it appears that taking into consideration the above, the directorate made the venue selection.

The main focus of above stated conference remains to conduct collective research to create awareness about the STD or VD i.e. sexually transmitted diseases and venereal diseases, respectively. STD is also referred to as STI i.e. sexually transmitted infection and all these diseases are kind of illness, transmitted between humans or even animals.

The probability of such transmission largely depends on human sexual behaviors thus can be transmitted even through vaginal intercourse alongside oral sex and most likely through anal sex. An infected person becomes a source to infect others potentially while there are no obvious or visible sings of these diseases.
